*Hours - open and close:    8:30am-6:00pm

 

*Ages 2 thru 11 years old

*Nap time if needed for Toddlers

After School Program

General Schedule

 

Time  Description                                       

          2:35 – 3:15   Pick-up from school (Tue. 2:00 - 2:15 PM - Homework 2:30pm)

                    Outdoor activities at Ortega Park for grades K-3 until grade 4-5 kids are out                                             (weather permits)

3:15 – 3:30   Snack time (healthy snacks including fruit,low-sugar granola bars, cheerios, goldfish)

3:30 – 4:30   Dedicated homework time /until  completed                      

4:30 – 5:30   Organized activities that change daily including arts & crafts, indoor or outdoor games,                            or sporting activities as described below

5:30 – 6:00   Kid’s free choice time - reading, freeplay in/outdoors, sports activities;       

 

TENNIS/BASEBALL/BASKETBALL

                      ( Friday Reward: movie or Wii time - rewards earn during week days)

  

Activities

 

(For organized activity time or free choice time)

• Tennis

• Learning tennis skills from professional tennis coach including footwork, backhand, forehand, volleys, serves, and fun games

 

• Arts & Crafts

• Hands on art including painting, drawing with washable paint, finger painting, brush paint with hundreds of planned art activities, Perler bead designs, bracelets, stamping and making greeting cards

 

These activities are designed to focus on

• Empowering your child’s cognitive development

• Motivating self-confidence, emotional expression, and imagination

• Expressing their uniqueness and to explore their creativity

• Validating their personal history – culture and values

 

• Basketball

• Shooting baskets in our backyard or at Stocklmeir School

• Games including Horse, Pig, and Around-the-World

 

• Baseball or Wiffle ball

• Batting, throwing, catching, fielding instruction and fun games

 

• Music and songs for younger children

• Free dance with child appropriate music and videos

• Being free and silly as The Wiggles

Academic Enrichment

Elementary School Programs

 

+ Literacy and Mathematics help especially for kinders who are in the progress of transition to Elementery school

 

+ PIANO CLASS are available if there is enough interest

No credits will be given for days that Joyful Noise is closed or for days that you may miss.
